alan watts farmer parable

Alan Watt's has a good retelling of the old man lost his horse. It's nice when someone thinks of a good metaphor two thousand ago and you can hear it retold today.

It's also not so nice when something that's good (maybe?) gets repeated and worshipped and sampled in mediocre music to a point where it feels trite. Alan Watts' lectures feel like they've hit some kind of mainstream (if there is one anymore), and I for one am a little annoyed at myself for having taken so long to dig a little deeper for the older source material.
